In 2003 I joined ORRA
from being in the member chair to
the executive chair as I felt I
could provide some well rounded
assistance to the membership in
general.
On a personal level,
I want to give the membership in
knowing they have me as someone to
count on to give them answers on
their membership or insurance needs
and to be accountable for the
financial flow in the club.
I assist the
team/members in ORRA as well as
membership clubs in proper
maintenance of their insurance needs
and help to move forward the club as
a whole. Several years ago I took an
interest in seeing the Agreement in
Principle ("AIP") take hold to
establish the Motorcycle
Confederation of Canada - I am proud
to say that I am one of the founding
board members of MCC.
As a child, I took a
shining to a man who was renting a
room from our parents; he had a
lovely motorcycle and I begged him
to take me on it; it was a red
shiney Harley and it was 1968; the
wind swiftly carried me away and I
could smell the meadows and lakes
nearbye far more than in the car or
hike…and then and there, I was
hooked.
Motorcycling will
always be in here to stay in that
motorcycling is a sport for those
who seek an alternative lifestyle -
it's alternative as there's nothing
that can describe it more so to
enjoying those hills and curves and
the sun on your skin on a beautiful
sunny day. ORRA in the future, holds
the promise of a larger and stronger
voice through its membership direct
and a strong umbrella above to
promote motorcycle safety - that is
the MCC
